As the guiding force behind the renowned Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center and its Alf Engen Ski Museum, the Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation offers several opportunities for donor recognition. Donations from individuals, groups, business and government entities are necessary to maintain and enhance the museum's exhibits and popular educational programs on behalf of the public and for future generations.
Most prominent recognition for donors is the museum's Donor Wall whose ski-enhanced donor medallions showcase to all visitors the names of those who have supported the foundation in a significant manner. Established in 1991 for the purpose of building a facility to spotlight the colorful ski history of the region, the Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
There are four major donor recognition categories, although the foundation will greatfully accept and heartily acknowledge donations of any amount.
The primary donor recognition categories are as follows:
Benefactor: $1,000,000 and above
Gold Medal: $100,000 - $999,999
Silver Medal: $5,000 - $99,999
Bronze Medal: $1,000 - $4,999
If you'd like to speak to a member of the museum staff or board of directors to obtain more information about donor opportunities, please call the foundation office: (435) 658-4240.
