Exhibit Description

King of the Hill ExhibitAlf Engen’s extensive collection of trophies and memorabilia makes this the museum’s centerpiece. Included in this display is a replica of the Wheaties “Breakfast of Champions” cereal box featuring Alf Engen that resulted in his removal from the 1936 Olympic team.  Alf never received money for being in the ad but the Olympic committee decided that it constituted an endorsement which was not allowed at the time.  The variety and uniqueness of the many awards showcased in this display attest to the unmatched accomplishments of the man selected as “Utah’s Athlete of the Twentieth Century.”
