Exhibit Description

Ecker Hill ExhibitReturn to the 1930s glory days of Ecker Hill where world ski jumping records were set and broken in the same day.  Looking up, visitors will see a mannequin of Alf Engen “jumping” over the area that displays the original Ecker Hill sign from the ‘30s as well as a more recent sign dating from 1986.

An original painting by Anton J. Rasmussen, whose family owned the land that housed Ecker Hill, features the three Engen brothers and commemorates the excitement of those early competitions.

The Ecker Hill Trophy, presented to the first day winner of the FIS International Ski Jumping competition at Utah Olympic Park and the certificate designating Ecker Hill as a site on the National Register of Historic Places complete the display.
